MDF
Our entry level shutter. Manufactured in MDF, covered in an extruded polypropylene coating.
Available in 9 painted colours. It's best suited to smaller window configurations.
Bermuda
MDF shutter with ABS louvres.
22 contemporary colours available and coated with a polypropylene hard wearing sleeve. Protecting the shutter from changes in ambient temperature, reducing the likelihood of warping and twisting.
Sustainability: All of SCrafts MDF is produced from managed plantation Radiata pine forests that reach maturity in 30 years. This MDF is viewed favourably as substitutes for tropical hardwoods which take close to 200 years to reach maturity.
70% of the MDF manufacturing energy requirements onsite are for producing heat, and as the plant generates almost all of it's own heat requirements by burning wood residues, this is very energy efficient. This is a form of bio fuel and is considered green house gas neutral under the Kyoto protocol.
Hardwood
The Cuba range combines a robust MDF frame with the lightness of hardwood shutter panels.
The panels are manufactured from a mix of hardwoods all with a linear grain, ideal for painted shutters giving a flat, uniform finish.

Fiji
The Fiji range of wooden shutters is available in 23 colours and 27 stained finishes, plus a custom colour option.
They're ideal for larger windows and expanses made from Paulownia wood - a plantation wood maturing in 7 years making it a very sustainable option. Unlike other woods it regrows from the original root ball meaning the wood is harvested rather than replanted.
Waterproof Shutter
Java is crafted from high grade ABS (Acrylonile Butadiene Styrene) a more robust and waterproof alternative.
Made from ABS rather than wood or MDF means the Java is 100% waterproof making it an ideal material for rooms with condensation issues or increased exposure to water. In bathrooms, kitchens and wet-rooms the shutters are easy to dry and do not absorb moisture.
The shutters have a high quality finish which means it is virtually impossible to tell they are plastic.
Java is available in 23 colours and custom colour option.
Samoa
Distinctively robust with an elegant finish, our top-of-the-range Somoa shutters are a dynamic and flexible choice offering a great alternative for almost any interior setting.
Somoa shutters are made from the highest grade Ayous timber and finest white Teak when stained.
All of our Somoa woods are sustainable and ethically sourced from a plantation in the Solomon Islands. We have a choice of 23 painted colours and 27 stained options, plus custom colour options. They suitable for all windows including special shapes.
